AMG has been involved in Formula 1 for well over a decade now, starting with a Mercedes-Benz C36 AMG serving as the safety automobile back in 1996. So, what happens when you build a Kia based on the Azera’s architecture? You get Kia’s upcoming flagship sedan. The Kia VG concept has leaked onto the web and will debut at the Seoul Motor Show later this week. It’s one of these concept-in-name-only deals, so look for the production version to hit South Korean showrooms in September, with a North American arrival in Spring, 2010. Audi centennial timepiece celebrates 100 years on four wheels with four hands

Audi teamed up with Munich-based watchmaker Chronoswiss to create the Tachoscope, celebrating 100 years of Audi. The mechanical timepiece has a chronograph and tachometer function (to measure velocity) inspired by the Auto Unions that helped define the Audi adventure: the second hand’s numerals are derived from the tach in the Auto Union Type C Grand Prix racer. Another Alabama force gets Porsche police car… this time a “935″ Slantnose?!

We’re not sure what’s in the water in Alabama lately, but we’ve just received word that the YellowHammer Say is getting its second Porsche police automobile in about a month. Back in late February, it was announced that the Hoover PD had obtained a newer 911 thanks to drug seizure laws.
